This photograph was taken on a wintry morning at Jim Corbett National Park buffer zone area. What caught my attention here was this pair (I think its red-vented bulbul) that hopped from branch to branch together, not leaving each other even for a small fraction.
Let me take this opportunity to wish all a cozy, happy & prosperous new year together!! Have a happy 2014 :)

DeleteA late response for the new year, yet, I have always thought perhaps the celebrating of the new year should based on the season instead of a calender; what is there fifty or more in use around the world besides the 360 day calendar. So for me the new year begins in spring, which we if the last two days are any indication, spring maybe just beginning -a new season, a new year with fresh air and a new sense of rejuvenation. Another part of the world, that sense of rebirth an rejuvenation would be a different month all together for different reasons. That all said a happy, prosperous, contented 2014 to you.
ReplyDeleteThe silhouette of the two 'love' birds, is universal and fitting to spring into a new year..
Also, I followed the link to Jim Corbett National Park and your jungle adventure. Good shtufffs! From here, there is something thrilling and spiritual to be within the reign of the tiger. That said, being close is all one needs and wiser then to actually see face to face. Am fairly at ease in nature, at the same time I am respectful. In this country the equivalent, if a Tiger could have an equal, is the Grizzly Bear -an steam scat was too close for me. But like most countries in these modern times it mostly a two tonne vehicle that will get us in the end.
